In today’s environment, energy independence is becoming not only a fashion trend, but also a necessity. AmperGood continues to implement complex, large-scale, and at the same time effective energy supply solutions adapted to the needs of a particular facility. One of the most striking examples is the implementation of a comprehensive turnkey solar and inverter system in the Brovary district of Kyiv region.

The project was aimed at achieving maximum autonomy of a private facility, stable power supply 24/7, and the ability to charge an electric vehicle exclusively using solar energy. This article describes each stage of the project: from the first customer call to the full launch of the facility.

Initial data: challenge and goal

The client requested the installation of a solar power plant and a powerful inverter system that would allow

  • Ensure full autonomy of housing and outbuildings;
  • Integrate a charging station for an electric vehicle that will operate on surplus solar energy;
  • To have a reliable energy reserve in case of outages in the general grid;
  • To get a functional and durable complex with the possibility of remote monitoring.

Technical implementation: what was done

🔌 Inverter system based on Victron Quattro

The system is based on an 8 kW Victron Quattro three-phase inverter system, which provides flexibility in working with multiple energy sources and allows for easy scaling in the future. The inverter is synchronized with the solar generation and the battery pack, which allows you to control loads by priority.

☀️ 50 kW of solar panels

A total of 50 kW of PV modules were installed on roof structures to maximize seasonal production. The system operates taking into account local weather conditions, and generation is controlled through the Victron VRM application.

🔋 100 kWh of Fronius batteries

Reliable Fronius batteries with a total capacity of 100 kWh were chosen for energy storage. This volume is sufficient to ensure uninterrupted operation at night and in case of a decrease in SPP production.

🚗 Charging an electric vehicle from the sun

A special feature of the project was the integration of an electric charging station that synchronizes with free solar energy. This means that an electric vehicle can be charged only at times of excess generation, without using energy from the grid or batteries. This approach not only saves money but also reduces the carbon footprint.
